FIELD MARKETING SPECIALISTS WIN INNOVATION ACCOLADE AT INDUSTRY ‘OSCARS’
A GROUND-BREAKING project, which exceeded client predictions and delivered a twenty-fold return on investment, has earned specialist field marketing company IMS another industry ‘Oscar’.
The Doncaster-based company beat off competition from across the
It is the second year in succession that the company’s approach has been recognised at national level – 12 months ago it won the accolade for ‘Most Effective Tactical Campaign’ as a result of its work with The Guardian in relaunching the newspaper in its new format.
This year’s winning entry was based on a series of three-week tactical projects that the IMS team carried out at Asda stores nationwide on behalf of household giant Colgate-Palmolive.
IMS worked within a limited budget to boost sales of Colgate-Palmolive’s oral and personal care products at Asda stores nationwide.
It worked in conjunction with Sales Force Effectiveness Consultancy Meridian to rate stores into five categories based on potential for sales growth, and shaped a campaign which targeted those with the greatest need with the highest number of visits and support. It also achieved an uplift in sales which was 38% higher than client predictions
IMS Operations Director Steve Radford said: “We pride ourselves on bringing fresh thinking and a new approach to field marketing. We are therefore delighted that, thanks to the efforts of our staff, we have been honoured for innovation.”
“The client turned to IMS and Meridian to develop an innovative campaign which would generate a more consistent, and bigger sales uplift, than previous promotions.”
“We delivered an in-store campaign to make every pound of client spend go as far as possible. When the campaign ended, and the results evaluated, we had achieved £20 profit for every pound of investment - smashing client predictions in the process.”Notes to Editors
