At IMS your privacy is very important to us, therefore we have created this Privacy Statement to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy and security. This privacy statement discloses the privacy practices for IMS Field Marketing Ltd and all of its websites and should be read in conjunction with the Terms of Use.
Information collection
Information about your computer hardware and software may be automatically collected by IMS from any user accessing its websites. This can include your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times and referring Website addresses. (This information is used by IMS for the operation of the service, to maintain quality of the service, and to provide general statistics regarding use of the IMS websites).
Optional registration forms may be used on our sites to collect contact information (such as name and email address). This information will be used to operate our websites and deliver the services the user has requested.
IMS Field Marketing Ltd. will collect information from Field Team members via our websites as a result of work (paid or unpaid) carried out on behalf of IMS Field Marketing Ltd or its clients.
IMS does not collect sensitive data, such as your race, religion, or political affiliations via its websites.
In all cases, IMS Field Marketing Ltd is the sole owner of all information collected on its sites and will not sell, trade, share, or lease this information to others in ways different from that disclosed in this statement, except if required in special cases (see Special Cases below).
Online voting, surveys or contests
From time-to-time our sites may request information from users via online voting, surveys or contests. Participation in these voting polls, surveys or contests is completely voluntary and the user therefore has a choice whether or not to disclose this information. Where services such as these are provided on behalf of third parties and information is requested from the user, we expressly disclaim responsibility for information users provide once it has been transmitted to the third party.
Use of your personal information
IMS websites may collect and use personal information to operate our websites and deliver the services the user has requested. IMS will not sell, trade, share, or lease this information to others in ways different from that disclosed in this statement, except if required in special cases (see Special Cases below).
IMS will send out emails to members of the Field Team when work is available in their area that matches their profile. On occasion we may send out e-mails informing you of technical service issues, new feature announcements and news about IMS products and services. These e-mails are considered essential to the provision of the service you have requested. You will not be able to choose to unsubscribe to these mailings without closing your account, as they are considered a part of the service you have chosen.
If you choose to provide IMS with a mobile phone number, on occasion we may send you an SMS text message to remind you that work is still available in your area if you have not logged in to your IMS account within 24 hours of us sending you a work available email. At any time you may request to change the time that these SMS messages are sent, or choose not to receive work available reminders in this way by logging in to the IMS website and using the online options on your ‘My Profile’ page.
If you choose to provide IMS with a mobile phone number, on rare occasions we may also send an SMS text message to your mobile phone if we need to contact you urgently about an important issue. Messages about urgent or important issues are considered essential to the provision of the service you have requested and you will not be able to choose to unsubscribe to these messages without closing your account or removing your mobile phone number from your ‘My Profile’ page.
IMS may disclose data to trusted partners to help us provide specific services or to perform statistical analysis. In such cases we will share names, or other contact information that is necessary for the third party to provide these services. All such third parties are prohibited from using your personal information except to provide these services to IMS Ltd., and they are required to maintain the confidentiality of your information.
If we partner with another party to provide specific services, we will share names or other contact information that is necessary for the third party to provide these services to the user only when the user actively signs up for them. We expressly disclaim responsibility for information users provide once it has been transmitted to the third party on behalf of the user to provide the services or products the user has requested.
We may share aggregated demographic information with our partners, sponsors and advertisers. This is not linked to any personal information that can identify any individual person.
Information collected by the IMS Field Team
Where information collected on IMS Field Marketing Ltd websites is as a result of work (paid or unpaid) carried out on behalf of IMS Field Marketing Ltd or any of its clients, this information becomes the property of IMS Field Marketing Ltd. This information may be shared, rented or sold to any third party at the discretion of IMS Ltd. However at no time will this include a user's personally identifiable information (such as your postcode, phone number or email address) other than forename and surname, other than in circumstances disclosed elsewhere in this statement.
Controlling the use of your personal information
IMS will not collect, use or share your personal information in ways different from that disclosed in this statement, except if required in special cases (see Special Cases below). However in some cases we will offer you choices via your ‘My Profile’ pages to further restrict how your personal information is used.
In cases described above, you will be asked to make your requests while logged into the IMS website so that IMS can associate your preferences with your particular account. This security safeguard prevents someone else from making choices about the usage and control of your personal information.
You may request to close your account and have your personal details removed from the active IMS database at any time by contacting The Support Team using the details at the bottom of this page.
Information security
IMS takes every precaution to protect our users' information from unauthorised access, use or disclosure in accordance with the Data protection Act. However sensitive information such as bank details etc will not be collected via the Internet. Where information of this nature is required, the user will be contacted by post.
