Within field marketing, what constitutes a sales activity can be hard to define. This is because when executed correctly all field marketing (such as auditing, merchandising and mystery shopping) should improve the overall effectiveness of your point of purchase, product placement and promotional compliance. In addition to this there are many things that can be 'sold' and we often undertake field marketing activities on behalf of our clients to sell in an idea or a concept in order to ultimately sell more of their product or service.
However, IMS also conduct activities where we become your point of purchase, and engage directly with your customers and potential customers to sell your product or service. This can include working in the business to business environment (for example selling your product directly to independent retailers and fulfilling supply using transfer orders) or within the business to consumer environment (for example directly approaching consumers to get them to sign-up to a purchase or membership agreement).
