Education and Training

It is not usually cost effective for field marketing teams to be in-store all the time checking and fixing issues. Therefore educating and influencing store staff to try and prevent issues reoccurring as well as ensuring sales are maximised following on from auditing and merchandising visits is the important last step of our in-store check, fix and influence model.

Educating and influencing often involves discussing what changes our team have made whilst in store to ensure store staff are aware of what we’ve done and why we’ve done it (to help increase their sales as much as yours). The value of this is that not only can store staff see that you are helping them to achieve their goals, but by highlighting that there’s external focus on your products, staff are also encouraged to ensure that your products continue to get the focus they need in future.

In addition to concentrating on the issues at hand, this is also a good opportunity to educate staff further about your product(s) and any future changes or developments that they would benefit from being aware of. So these conversations can also include:

  • Explanations of your products’ USPs and their competitive position in the market place.
  • Future advertising and marketing campaigns which should increase sales of your products within their store.
  • Detail of any upcoming promotions of your products within their store.
  • Information on any planned ranges changes or new line introductions.

Education and Influencing also helps ensure effective product placementpromotional compliance and promotional support.
